RSS Feeds

On one hand, I like RSS Feeds because it saves time. Instead of searching websites for new information, the news comes to me. However, the reader's account needs to be checked regularly or the purpose of it is lost.
I selected the following sites for RSS reader: ALIA net, Powerhouse museum, State Library of Victoria, LibraryByte, incite. At work, I can use RSS Feeds to keep informed of what's happening in other libraries and keep up to date with new technologies.
Libraries can use RSS to communicate with their clients and staff. For example, I found on Google several Libraries that have RSS Feeds for their new books and/or to advise clients of events.

FLIKR

It's so easy to get lost and sidetracked on Flikr. The image doesn't really reflect teamwork but I was spending too much time searching a picture. The point of the exercise is to practice loading an image.
At first, I tried to load the image directly from Flikr without success. I ended up saving the image on the U-drive and this worked well.
